Book Reads until the end of the year will be readings of all 6 Jane Austen books--in chronological order--the Jane Austen "Theme Series" ending with the upcoming TV Masterpiece Theatre film showing adapted from all 6 Austen books, during the month of January 2008.

OOO I saw the advertisements for one of the movies and cannot wait! I do so like Austen's work, and a lot of the books have been made into some spectacular movies.

The only thing that worries me are the liberties they look to be taking-- the event in the movie happened over only one weekend in real life, and he and Jane never *did* get together.

I'll stuff my inner fusspants down and go to the movie anyway-- it looks like a wonderful movie, no matter how spotty the factual base. ::grin::
