HELP! My readers are tired of reading books about heartbreak, death & cruelty. Looking for suggestions on funny, light hearted books that we can discuss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I love to be asked this!!
Ella Minnow Pea, by Mark Dunn
Isabel's Bed, by Elinor Lipman
Stern Men, by Elizabeth Gilbert
The Eyre Affair, by Jasper Fforde
These are all quite different from one another, which I think makes it fun for selecting.
Have a nice weekend,
~M~

I would suggest the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series by Alexander McCall Smith. Our book club has been together for almost five years now and we make a point to read at least one book in this series every year. They always prove to be fun and entertaining! Everyone in our book club has loved these!

I would suggest the Shopaholic series by Kinsella or any books by Jennifer Weiner. These books are very light-hearted and very entertaining.

How about one of Janet Evanovich's books with its hilarious characters? Another humorous author is Bill Bryson, who writes travel books, which are great. I can remember reading one when I was going through a divorce, and it was a savings grace!
