Hi ReadingGroupGuides.com fans,

The South Bay Book Club in the San Francisco Bay Area meets about once a month to discuss books we are reading. We use guides from RGG to help facilitate our discussions.

Our rules are simple...
If you like the book, read and then attend. We are not expecting 100% participation at every book club meeting. Just come to the ones you like. Get the book any way you like...library, buy, borrow, or used. Its your choice. Paperback or hardcover whatever works.

Just a reminder, this group is low-key so don't expect a deep literary discussion. We read the book, attend meeting, and discuss the questions from the reading guide (http://www.readinggroupguides.com or other source) while enjoying the social setting.

We are looking for dedicated readers of all ages. All we ask is that you RESPOND to whether you will be there or not via "evite" invitation and cancel early if you can't make it or finish book in time.

Thanks again.

South Bay Book Club

Hello,
I am the Director of Literary Arts at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga. We have author events both in Saratoga and REdwood City and thought your members might be interested in attending some of our events. We have a free one on Friday night, Oct 21 at 8pm with Pulitzer Prize winner, Buzz Bissinger. Bissinger is the author of Friday Night Lights and Three Nights in August.
In November we will have Alexander McCall Smith
at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City.
Our website is http://www.montalvoarts.org
We also have a monthly book club at Montalvo and read both fiction and non-fiction.
Good luck in finding new members

Hi there,

I am interested in joining your group. I noticed that both of your links at the bottom are now expired. How do I go about getting more information about your club (# of members, meeting place, book selection, etc)?

Thanks!
Lindsay

Dear South Bay Book Club,

I live in the Bay Area and am interested in your book club. How can we connect? Do you read a book a month? If so, what book is for December?

Hi Audra,

Please send your email address so we can get you on our emailing list. We are reading Fahrenheit 451 for December. We read about a book a month. With your email, you will receive two invites. One to our current December book meeting and another for our Yahoo Group. We have posted all the books we have read and other tidbits of information shared by other members.

Oops, rather than post your email on this board for all to see.

Please go to Craigslist and see this post. Reply to it and I will get your email for the list.

Hi Lindsay,

I finally had the chance review the postings on ReadingGroupGuides.com. I don't know if I responded to your posting or not. You can contact us through this recent Craigslist posting, that way your email address remains anonymous from public eyes.
