The African American Literature Discussion Group will be discussing Blessings by Sheneska Jackson.

A blessing to one is not necessarily good fortune to another. Sheneska Jackson's 3rd novel deals with this irony on several fronts. Jackson describes the intersecting lives of three African American women and one white woman who work at Blessings, a beauty salon in Inglewood, California.

We meet every month on Wednesdays. Our group ages range from 25-60. Its a mixture of races of well which makes discussions very interesting. Very stimulating conversations.
