Aloha,
I was just brainstorming here and I was wondering if anyone has done either a ornament or gift exchange for the holidays in December? Just an idea. We could just pick a name in a basket so to say so someone only has to get one gift rather than 16. Like I said, an idea and it would be nice to do something around the holidays with the Someday bookclub.

I have the Hawaii bookmarks for everyone who posted their address, and I just can't mail them out with putting them in a card that I made/am making so bear with me, be patient, they will get mailed out!

Aloha!

that is a great idea merty, but 16 gifts would be fun too.

I know, would it not!?

I really like your idea with the goodie boxes in regard to your bookclub selection. And thus I wanted to do it for Novermber, but shipping from Hawaii is costly, so I came up with the bookmarks! I wanted to stay inspired with the theme of the book but had no luck so I just went with bookmarks from Hawaii! It's been a fun project!

We do "Secret Santa" at work and I LOVE doing that! Plus, every fall I start looking at the $1 books at the library and get one for each of the staff here.
Merty, as much as I agree w/ cindy about how lovely 16 gifts would be Big Grin, I think you have the right idea w/ the bookmarks. Small, simple, pretty.
Could we do something like design a Christmas item that is specifically a Someday item and each get one?
I always find good book-related gifts here:

A Someday bookclub bookmark! We have to decide on a logo for our club or do we have one already?
I suggest a open book and a coffee or tea cup nearby in an outdoor setting. Not asking too much am I? LOL
