I don't consciously get books that I can read in 1 day, but when it happens I love it! I recently read Grayson, by Lynne Cox, and thoroughly enjoyed this uplifting story. ( I bought it at Oblong Books the day I met Babs ) It's a short book, but some books are written in a way that read fast and I zoom right thru. I read "Run" by Ann Patchett in 1 day also. I liked it a lot.

i read twilight in 2 days, new moon in a day and a half and eclipse in a day and a half. I have read several books in one day. If I like the book I just can't put it down.
I usually get up every hour or so if I'm reading and do a chore or stretch or go for a walk. I don't think I've ever read a day book, I like BIG books with alot going on, that when the book is finished, I miss the characters or the setting.
I don't think I've ever read a whole book in one day...not that I can remember anyway. I can finish a good Patterson in 2 days unless my family wants to wear clean clothes or eat...lol
I'm sure I've read whole books in 24 hours before but not any time recently. I was a much faster reader when I was younger or perhaps I just had more reading time.
I have stayed up waaay too late at night reading to finish a book I couldn't put down, even on night before I've had to work the next morning (I have to be at work at 7am when I work first shift).
Depends on the book. I've read some of Richard Paul Evans books in one day & a few other little short books like Good Dog, Stay. The Patterson & In Death books usually take 2-3 days depending on what else is going on in my life. The longer books take a week to two weeks for me to finish. I did read The Fiery Cross and A Breath of Snow & Ashes in a two week time frame, but I didn't do too much around the house then. LOL!
