Great reading! A young boy is disliked by his step-mother and she is doing everything in her power to get rid of him. When he was 12 years-old his mother arranged for him to have a ice pick lobotomy to make him behave. His father who is spineless went along with it. He wasn't violent, never hurt anyone, not failing in school.

Forty years later he decide to find out why- he reads his medical records, learns about the lies his step-mother made and finally confronts his father.

Why in the 60's were children allowed to have this horrible procedure done to them?
